How to make NANDOS at home (cheap & easy)
This delicious at home Nando's recipe is something I made up myself in the first year of university when all I wanted I was to eat Nando's but the student loan had dried up already... so I had to make it at home.

FOR RICE:
Rice cooker
Jasmine Rice
Tumeric
Paprika
Mixed Herbs
Red Bell Pepper
Long thin Green Beans
(or peas if you don't like green beans)
Soy sauce
Ketchup
Sweet chilli
Garlic granules
Pepper
Salt
Chilli Flakes
oil
At-home Nandos
Ingredients List:
FOR CHICKEN:
Chicken thighs (as much as you want to eat)
Dark soya sauce
Ketchup
Sweet chilli
Pepper
Salt
Paprika
Mixed Herbs
Cayenne Pepper
Red Chilli Flakes
Garlic Granules
Lidl Medium Peri-Peri seasoning pack
Lidl Garlic Peri-Peri sauce bottle
Lidl Medium Peri-Peri sauce bottle
How to make the rice:
1) wash your rice in rice cooker
2) once clear water appears start seasoning with desired amount of:
turmeric
paprika
mixed herbs
3) stir this around a bit and set it to boil
4) while rice is cooking work on the mixture you will fold into the rice when cooked
5) chop up your bell pepper and green beans into fine cubes
6) to a pot on the stove add a little bit of oil and grease the bottom
7) to this add your red peppers and green beans and stir around
8) to the pot add a little more turmeric, paprika, and mixed herbs (depending on how much you used in the rice cooker
9) stir round and then add, splashes of soy sauce, ketchup and sweet chilli
10) combine till ingredients are still colourful but softer
11) then combine this mixture with the fully cooked rice
How to make the chicken:
1) wash your chicken with turmeric, lime and salt
2) if there is skin on the chicken cut off any hairs and leave a decent amount to crisp up
3) into a big bowl add your chicken (make sure its dry)
4) if chicken is one large family pack tray accordingly marinate with an entire pack of Lidl Medium Peri-Peri seasoning pack
half a bottle of Lidl Garlic Peri-Peri sauce bottle and half a bottle of Lidl Medium Peri-Peri sauce bottle
5) add desired amount of chilli flakes, salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, mixed herbs and garlic granules
6) add splashes of dark soya sauce, ketchup and sweet chilli
7) rub this deep into the chicken, under the skin if possible
8) for the best results cover with cling film put in fridge and marinate over night but the longer the chicken spends in the sauce the richer the taste
